Lythoge said he hopes that host Ryan Seacrest doesn’t leave the Fox show. “I believe Seacrest is probably the best host in the business,” Lythgoe said, describing Seacrest as the “glue” that holds ”Idol” together. “I don’t have anything bad to say against Ryan,” Lythgoe said. “I just hope he doesn’t leave.”
