As Ryan Seacrest (and others) narrate the opening, and pulsating music blares out of the speakers while strobe lights momentarily blind the audience, it becomes immediately apparent that \"American Idiot,\" now on tour at the Ahmanson, will not be everyone\'s swig of whiskey (for it cannot really be compared to a cup of tea).
